Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni. Each main member (students, faculty, staff, and alumni) are allowed to have one sub-member.
*Main Member must have an active membership to the Center.
Monthly fees to use the center vary by membership type, but range from $13.50 per month for full-time students to $19.00 per month for alumni. This is well below the cost of memberships at local fitness facilities in the area which run, on average, about $26.57.
If full and part-time undergraduate students are registered for at least one credit during the Summer they can continue to use the center for FREE during the summer months.
A $60.00 per semester membership fee is automatically included on the tuition bill of full-time undergraduate students. Part-time students who want to use the center pay $13.50 per month ($60.00 each semester), which will grant access from the first day of the semester through the last day before the new semester starts. If these students register for at least one summer class, their summer membership is free. Otherwise, the cost to use the building during the summer will be $42.00.
Graduate students who want to use the facility pay a monthly membership fee of $13.50 ($60.00 per semester), plus $42.00 if they want to continue use during the summer months. Graduate students who are enrolled in a Summer class, their Summer membership will be free. Full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, or staff who want to use the facility will be charged $15.00 per month.
Membership fees for all members, with the exception of undergraduate students, may pay for their fees in the following ways:
Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are welcome to bring a guest to use the Center with them for $5 per day.

The center features a field house with two gymnasiums and a multi-purpose court. The Center serves as the home for Griffin basketball and volleyball, as well as intramural and club sport activities, with seating for 1,200 Griffin fans! Suspended above the gym floors is an elevated two-lane track for runners and walkers.
There is a 25-yard, four-lane pool for lap swimming, water walking and running, and a variety of aquatic fitness classes; a 46-foot technically challenging climbing wall, and a 2,044-square-foot multi-purpose exercise studio, which is the venue for yoga, aerobic, and dance classes, among others. The center also features a 2,022-square-foot weight room with a full complement of strength training equipment from LifeFitness. Floors one and two are equipped with a cardio deck (over 1,500 square feet on each deck), housing 31 pieces of cardiovascular equipment.
The third floor of the building is the Emma Eccles Jones Center for Nursing and Health Sciences. Be sure to stop by to see their latest state-of-the-art teaching facilities.
The Fitness, Wellness, and Recreation department offers Personal Training, Group Exercise Classes, Equipment Checkout, Indoor Climbing Wall classes, CPR & First Aid and a variety of classes through Community Education. There is also a robust Outdoor Programs department offering gear rentals and a variety of outdoor trips (hiking, backpacking, climbing, packrafting, yurt camping, etc.). The Fitness, Wellness and Recreation Department updates programming to keep things fresh for all members. Members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of wellness seminars and specialized services designed to facilitate greater self-awareness and responsibility along one’s path to living a full and healthy life. With physical wellness at the core, opportunities are available in the form of group fitness classes, services such as personal training sessions, consultations with a registered dietician, and massage therapy.
