Great Salt Lake Institute Research

GSLI engages in collaborative research ventures with a variety of partners, facilitating interactions between institutions of education, industry, non-profit, and government.  We have a strong focus on undergraduate research and scholarship opportunities. Currently we are housing a project funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute, which will involve sequencing the genes of the lake directly from water samples.  These data will be made public through our website and accessible to the scientific community.
