Interested in experiencing college life? Want to try your hand as a scientist? Join us for Camp Great Salt Lake!
What exactly would you be doing?
- Paddle surfing as you take water samples;
- Hatching and "abusing" brine shrimp cysts to see how well they can endure their extreme environment;
- Find out how the lake harnesses sunlight and what lab techniques can be used to detect life;
- Discover what sea monkeys (brine shrimp) really look like and why they're so interesting to scientists;
- Meet new people and get a taste for college life while staying in Westminster's dorms;
- Go bird watching and explore the importance of GSL's wetlands;
- Hear about current research and issues taking place at Great Salt Lake and how you can get involved!

When is Camp GSL?
- Monday, July 12th to Saturday, July 17th.
How much is Camp GSL?
- $150 covers all your transportation to and from the lake, your dorm room at Westminster, your food, and all your lab fees.
- Scholarships are available! Last year, many of our participants recieved either full or partial scholarships. Be sure to ask for or check back soon for an application.
