Degrees Offered in History

Students may elect an academic major or minor, or a teaching major or minor. Each history student pursues a course of study leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree that will provide for careers in business, secondary education, and government service, as well as preparation for advanced studies in the history profession, law, the ministry, and library and archival work. History majors must become proficient in at least one foreign language.

Not all courses are offered every year. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with program faculty or the START Center to plan their course schedules.
