Scott Thornton, Thornton Development and Investment

Scott is the founder and managing partner of Thornton Development and Investment, a real estate investment, development and management company. The primary focus of the business is the development of retail centers, hotels and warehouses. For 20 years, Scott was a principal in Western States Management, a business that developed and managed real estate in the Intermountain West. For 10 years, Scott was an investor, partner and board member of Golden Swirl Management Company, where he provided real estate expertise and strategic direction for the growth of the business. Scott was also the founder and owner of Scott Thornton Construction, a company that built subdivisions and luxury homes, and a cofounder of Timbercraft Cabinet and Mill. Scott attended the University of Utah where he studied business finance. He has been a board member of the Utah Food Bank, a member of the Salt Lake Rotary Club, and a leader in community organizations.
