Standards of Acceptable Conduct

We hope the time you spend in the Giovale Library is productive and enjoyable. A friendly and knowledgeable staff is here to assist you. Westminster students expect and deserve a clean, quiet, pleasant, and safe environment. Therefore some rules and regulations have been established. Individuals who don't follow these rules are subject to exclusion from the library premises, and in some cases, to legal prosecution.

1. Food and drinks (except plain water) are prohibited in the library except in the designated cafe area.
   
   

2. The use of tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, is prohibited in the library.
   
   

3. Loud talking, use of cellphones, and other disturbances will not be permitted. Patrons who persist in disruptive behavior will be asked to leave the library.
   
   

4. Library patrons are expected to use furniture, equipment, and materials with care.
   
   

5. Animals (with the exception of service dogs) are not allowed in the library.
   
   

6. Unattended children must not be left in the library, and children who are noisy or disruptive will be asked to leave.
   
   

7. The use of skates, skateboards, and inline skates is not allowed in the library.
