Suggested databases: Academic Search Premier - Academic Search Premier provides full text for over 1,250 academic, social sciences, humanities, general science, education and multi-cultural journals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 2,880 journals. Over 700 of the over 1,250 full text journals are peer reviewed. Over 1,670 of the indexed journals are peer reviewed. Full text backfiles go as far back as January of 1990, while indexing and abstract backfiles go as far back as January of 1984.

CINAHL - Search this database for gender related issues as seen from the nursing/medical perspective.

Contemporary Women's Issues - The Contemporary Women's Issues database provides full-text access to global information on women. Journals, newsletters, and research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies are easily accessed through CWI. Information on women in over 190 countries is compiled in a single collection bringing together such disciplines as sociology, psychology, health, education, business administration and political science.

ERIC - Search this database for gender issues as seen from the educational perspective.

Ethnic NewsWatch - This database includes full text for newspapers, magazines, and journals of the Ethnic, Minority, and Native Press.

GenderWatch - "GenderWatch is a full text database of publications that focus on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas. GenderWatch supports programs in business, education, literature and the arts, health sciences, history, political science, public policy, sociology and contemporary culture, gender and women's studies and more. Publications include academic and scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, regional publications, books, booklets and pamphlets, conference proceedings, and government, n-g-o and special reports... GenderWatch contains archival material, in some cases as far back as the 1970's.

JSTOR - Search, browse, and print from about 75 full-text journals in a variety of subject areas. The run of each title goes back to the first issue published (including some material from the late 1800´s), and usually ends in 1997. This makes JSTOR an excellent resource for historical information.

MasterFile Premier - provides full text for nearly 1,950 general periodicals covering a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, education, health, general science, multi-cultural issues and much more.

MLA International Bibliography - The MLA International Bibliography is a bibliography of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the electronic version of the Bibliography dates back to 1963 and contains over 1.5 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers.

Project Muse - provides access to the full text of over 100 journals from the Johns Hopkins University Press and 9 other university presses. Provides access to several key journals in the Gender Studies field including Bridges, Differences, Emily Dickinsen Journal, Frontiers, and Hypatia.

PsycARTICLES - is a database of full-text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe Publishing Group.

PsycBOOKS - Full text in PDF of 1,377 scholarly books in the discipline of psychology, including 691 books published by APA. Also includes the APA/Oxford University Press Encyclopedia of Psychology with more than 1,500 authored entries.

PsycINFO - contains citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations, and technical reports, all in the field of psychology and the psychological aspects of related disciplines, such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business, and law. Journal coverage, spanning 1887-present, includes international material selected from more than 1,500 periodicals written in over 35 languages. Current chapter and book coverage includes worldwide English-language material published from 1987-present. Over 60,000 references are added annually through weekly updates.

Psychology and Behavioral Collection - The Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database providing nearly 550 full text publications, including more than 500 peer-reviewed journals.
