The Combined Health Information Database (National Institutes of Health)
WWW public access

The Combined Health Information Database is a bibliographic database produced by health-related agencies of the Federal Government. CHID provides titles, abstracts, and availability information for health information and health education resources. The database includes health-related materials that have appeared in magazines, journals, newspapers, brochures, book chapters, and videotapes. CHID is intended to be used by both health professionals and lay public. For the professional, CHID is intended to supplement databases such as Medline. Lay users may locate solid health information in sources readily available to them and written for a general audience. Much of the material is not indexed elsewhere.
