In order for Electronic Reserves to
function properly, Faculty need to be aware of:
1. All the information contained on Electronic
Reserves: Information for Students
2. Copyright issues relating to your use of copyrighted
materials, including the content on our Electronic
Reserves: Copyright Information page.
3. Although we will try to place items on electronic reserve
as soon as we receive them, at busy times of the semester (particularly
the beginning of the semester) it can take up to 10 working days.
Note: The item will be available from the circulation desk in traditional
paper format as soon as possible.
4. Faculty will be notified via email once an item has
been placed on electronic reserve. If it all possible please bring
your documents on one side, 8 1/2 X 11, white, letter paper. Documents
deteriorate in quality after being scanned. Please bring the sharpest,
highest quality documents you can. Please keep in mind a large
document is 15 pages, any thing longer will be broken into separate
files; part1 part2 ect…The larger the document the greater
time and difficulty your students at home on a 28.8 modem will
have in trying to down load the files. We will not scan in entire
books or odd sized items that do not scan well. Please be aware
that some items may not be "scanner friendly." We will
notify you if we are unable to provide an item electronically.
