The MACL Faculty

  • Faculty teaching in the Master of Arts in Community Leadership degree program come from Westminster's outstanding graduate programs in the Schools of Business, Education, Arts and Sciences, and Nursing and Health Sciences. All are up-to-date in their fields and committed to the preparation of community leaders.
  • In addition, some courses are team-taught with experienced community leaders who have expertise in specific areas of the program. Guest speakers and visits to community organizations and policy-makers are a well-integrated part of the program.
  • The resources of Westminster's Center for Civic Engagement, Center for Diversity, and the Environmental Center also support the Community Leadership program.

Peggy Cain

 Program Director, Peggy Cain, has extensive experience working with grassroots organizations in the U.S. and Latin America. She has her Ph.D. in Adult Education and has done research focused on learning in community settings.

Admitted students meet with the Program Director to plan a program of studies that fit the students' interests and goals.
