Even the most casual visitors to our campus are impressed by the richness, vitality, and diversity of the conversations that occur among students and faculty. Those conversations often leave long lasting impressions on those involved in them-- but they are difficult to capture and share with others. Fortunately at least some of these conversations take place in more formal settings and can be recorded and reproduced.
Over the course of each academic year, we invite leaders from various fields-- business, the arts, politics, journalism, social criticism -- to spend some time at the college, meet with students, and make a formal presentation to the campus and community. From time to time, we distribute edited transcripts of those presentations in Westminster Matters both for their intrinsic value and their ability to illustrate the opportunities our students have to learn from multiple sources. I hope you will enjoy reading them and that you will participate in events like this when you are on our campus.
