What is NASPA?

NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, as the leading voice for student affairs administration, policy and practice, affirms the commitment of student affairs to educating the whole student and integrating student life and learning. NASPA’s mission is to provide professional development and advocacy for student affairs educators and administrators who share the responsibility for a campus-wide focus on the student experience. Utah is a member of NASPA’s Region V, along with Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alberta and British Columbia.

Nine of Utah’s institutions of higher education are “member” institutions:

  • Brigham Young University, Provo
  • College of Eastern Utah-San Juan Campus, Blanding
  • Salt Lake Community College, Salt Lake City
  • Southern Utah University, Cedar City
  • University of Utah, Salt Lake City
  • Utah State University, Logan
  • Utah Valley State College, Orem
  • Weber State University, Ogden
  • Westminster College, Salt Lake City

These institutions pay annual dues, based on institutional size and budget, so that staff, faculty and students can join NASPA individually at a significantly reduced rate. For more information about NASPA and how to join, visit: http://www.naspa.org/
