Office of Parent Relations
Westminster Parents and Families
If you are a parent of a current Westminster student and have submitted your contact information, you will receive the bimonthly parent eNewsletter (September-November-January-March-May-July), the Westminster Review magazine, and letters and updates from Westminster’s president, Dr. Brian Levin-Stankevich and others at the college.
Are you the parent of a first year student? During the fall, Westminster staff will call to check in with you about your student’s experience, answer questions, and gather feedback through a program called Well Check.
Westminster’s signature Winter Weekend for parents and families is set for February 19–22, 2015. This is a great time to reconnect with your student, visit campus, and enjoy a weekend of activities both on and off campus in Salt Lake City and at local ski resorts and canyons.
Getting Involved as a Westminster College Parent
As a Westminster parent, you can raise awareness of the college daily in your community. At your job, your place of worship, and with friends and family, you can be a valuable ambassador for Westminster just by sharing your student’s experience with others. You can also get involved through your career connections (offering internships and hiring Westminster grads), helping out at admissions receptions in your home area, and by making a gift to support your student’s success through the Westminster Parent Fund or any program, sport, or activity in which your student is involved.
As parents of two Westminster College students, my husband and I also understand college is a time of many questions for you and your family--especially prior to and during that first semester. So, if you have any questions or concerns, please call or email me any time--I can't promise that I will have all the answers, but I will direct you to someone on campus who does!
