Why Study Political Science?
Are you interested in doing an internship with the FBI? How about working as an ESL teacher in Japan? Westminster Political Science students have participated in these and many other impressive programs and careers. Students have continued their education in law school, other graduate programs, or worked in related fields like social work.

Westminster's Political Studies major and Science minor stress understanding and analysis of the American political system as well as the examination of changing global political conditions. Your course work will focus on the study of political behavior, organizations, theories, research methodologies, and governmental institutions. Our small classes and dedicated faculty allow you to receive personal attention and opportunity to become actively involved with on-campus activities and work with local or national organizations as well.

Westminster offers a Political Studies major and a Political Science minor. Students must maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA in courses required for the program.
