Westminster Appoints Aretha Minor as New Diversity Outreach Coordinator

SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster College is pleased to announce that Aretha Minor has been appointed to the position of Diversity Outreach Coordinator. The newly created position is part of the college’s Center for Strategic Initiatives. Minor will be working closely with Westminster’s diversity committee and the Office of the Provost to support the college’s diversity initiatives.
Minor joins Westminster after serving in various administrative and educational positions in California and Utah. She worked as an Upward Bound instructor at the University of Utah’s Educational Opportunity Program and as an Equal Opportunity Program 100 Instructor and Peer Advisor for Educational Equity Services at California State University Long Beach.
Minor also has experience in several university and community-based organizations and boards that work to promote awareness of social justice, including sitting on a committee for the Martin Luther King Day Celebration at the University of Utah. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from California State University Long Beach.
