Westminster College Announces the Appointment of Michael Kraus as New Director of Aviation StudiesFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 22, 2005 SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster College is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Kraus to the position of Director of Aviation Studies. Prior to this appointment, Kraus served as a full-time faculty member in the Aviation Department at Westminster for four years and assumed his new position on July 1, 2005. Kraus takes on his new responsibilities with over 35 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has served as mechanic, appraiser and manufacturer of aircrafts. He was a Bush Pilot in Alaska, an International Transport Pilot and most recently served as Chief Instructor of Westminster's aviation program. Westminster College Provost Cid Seidelman stated, "I am confident he will bring the right combination of experience, leadership and vision required to achieve Westminster's long-term goals for the Aviation program." Kraus plans to move the program forward with the Council on Aviation Accreditation (CAA), which will incorporate industry-recommended curriculum into the current program. His goal is to give students the best possible educational experience in a safe environment. |
