Westminster College Chapter of American Chemical Society Received Honorable Mention Award 

SALT LAKE CITY  - The Westminster College Chapter of the American Chemical Society recently received an Honorable Mention Award from the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates Program for their work in the community over the last year. The awards letter called the Society one of “the best in undergraduate science education and mentoring around the country.” The Westminster College chapter has been active for 7 years, and this is the second time its members have received this award.

The Society hosts and participates in many community activities throughout the year. Among the events that garnered this award were various campus guest speakers, an Undergraduate Science Research Fair, and a chemistry lab for the Kids on Campus event held during Westminster’s Homecoming Weekend.
