Jan Saeed Aappointed New Director of Spiritual Life

Jan Saeed has been appointed the new Director of Spiritual Life at Westminster College. The Office of Spiritual Life at Westminster endeavors to create a variety of spaces and opportunities in which students can explore and nurture their spirituality.

Saeed, who received the Salt Lake Interfaith Roundtable Award 2007, was previously a Course Instructor for the University of Utah Osher Program. This course involves a study of religion and the role individuals and religious communities can play to better society. Saeed received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and a Masters of Arts degree from Landegg International University in Mastricht, Switzerland. Saeed also works with the North American Interfaith Network, the Salt Lake Olympic’s Interfaith Roundtable, the Institute for the Healing of Racism, and is a Utah Humanities Council Road Scholar.

Westminster’s Office of Spiritual Life provides students with activities at the college, both on and off campus, that allow them to share their own faith traditions, and learn about others’. They can participate in retreats, book groups and service learning. Students of all faiths and convictions are encouraged to participate.
