Westminster College Announces Deadline for Exemplary Achievement Scholarship

Ten awards of $20K per year will be awarded to outstanding students - Deadline is Feb. 15, 2008


SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College’s has announced the deadline for its Exemplary Achievement Scholarship as Feb. 15, 2008. Ten awards of $20,000 per year (up to $80K over four years) will be awarded to students who intend to attend Westminster as members of the Fall 2008 entering class. Both freshman and transfer students are eligible to apply.


In rewarding exceptional achievement, Westminster seeks to honor students who will enrich our community of learners. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have overcome hardships, a disability, a difficult personal situation or faced other disadvantages.


The Exemplary Achievement Award recognizes students who have achieved excellence in activities such as community service, leadership, performing arts, writing, entrepreneurship, civic participation, etc.


Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum B average. The Scholarship Committee will select the 10 recipients by evaluating the level of achievement, depth of involvement and quality of community contributions among the applicants. This award requires a separate application that is due Feb. 15, 2008. Finalists will be notified by March 15, 2008.
