A Message from the EditorOH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!
This year Westminster students experienced Australia, France, Ireland, China, Belgium, and England. Students saw first hand what they had learned in the classroom, like theMartello tower where James Joyce wrote Ulysses to the Great Wall of China, to The Sydney Opera House. They met, listened, and talked to people of other cultures, and they brought back more of a world view, expressing amazement in things they never knew about. They also brought back advice for other students who might consider a May term abroad next year: "Just meeting the people and broadening my mind, that was the best part. I think trips abroad should be a requirement. Travel changes you so much," said Maxwell Powell (05). "Just do it. Don't miss the opportunity, It was wonderful," said Amanda O'Driscoll (02). You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourselfany direction you choose.-- Dr. SeussSincerely,Anne Macdonald |
