Imagine Peace Fest September 24, 2011
As apart of Roots & Shoots Day of Peace, Roots & Shoots groups
from around Utah participate in the annual Imagine Peace Fest in
September at the Downtown Library Square. The festival creates a space
where community members, groups, and activists can work to create peace together.
At the festival, various Roots & Shoots groups have:
- Flown giant Peace Doves
- Painted faces, arms, and legs at the Roots & Shoots table
- Hosted a youth art exhibit
- Held a book reading
- Painted a Peace Pole
