LEED® Platinum Certification   Environmental responsibility is a commitment that we take very seriously at Westminster College. The Meldrum Science Center demonstrated that commitment to conservation pays off and the facility achieved a LEED® Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Designed by VCBO Architecture, a firm that emphasized efficient, environmentally appropriate, and elegant design, the Meldrum Science Center will be a showcase for environmental stewardship. Not only is environmental stewardship socially responsible - it is also educational. The building's "green" features allow students and the community to see, touch, and monitor sustainable resource use in action.
