Fast Facts For Faculty

Tips for Teaching Students with Disabilities

The Fast Facts for Faculty are information briefs designed to help college instructors improve the climate and quality of education for students with disabilities.  Through focus group discussions, both faculty and students at Ohio State University, provided a number of recommendations to enhance the teaching-learning process within the classroom.  Please be aware that the pedagogical recommendations included here are not only helpful for students with disabilities, but are also good teaching practices that are useful for most of your students.

These informational sheets were developed by the Ohio State University Partnership Grant funded under the U.S. Department of Education grant #P333A990046.
Revised by Westminster College Disability Services, August 2005.
