Documentation
To process a paycheck, the payroll office requires that you complete the following paperwork prior to employment.
New Students
Students new to the program must submit/complete the following items:
- Complete a W-4 Form: The W-4 Form allows you to designate the number of allowances withheld from your pay. You may update this form each year.
- Complete an I-9 Form: The I-9 Form is a federal employment eligibility verification. This form will require you to verify identity and employment eligibility to the Human Resource Office. For example, you may be asked to present one or more of the following documents:
- Driver's license or other picture ID with name and date of birth.
- Original Social Security card or birth certificate.
- Passport
- Complete a Direct Deposit Authorization Form: College payroll is handled by direct deposit into your checking or savings account. Individual checks are not printed. You will need to attach a voided check, deposit slip, or be able to provide the routing and account number on the authorization form.
Returning Student Employees
If you have previously worked on campus either through the Federal Work Study or Student Employment Programs, you will not need to fill out new W4, I-9, or direct deposit forms. The Payroll Office retains all information from year to year. If you wish to update your W4 form or your direct deposit information, you can do so at the time of rehire.
