To promote and enhance their success we challenge, support and empower students through intentional and caring ways.Meet the Team! Click on anyone's name to email them directly!Mark Ferne, Dean of StudentsMark has worked at Westminster for over seven years, previously working at the University of Florida and the University of Maryland and spending two voyages as staff on Semester at Sea. He has a deep passion for students and deeply believes that the educational experience that occurs in a small, private institution is second to none. Although he's often in meetings, through intentional programming like Dessert with the Dean (hosting students in his home), The Dean Delivers (bringing food to the residence halls during finals), and Defeat the Dean (a weekly table tennis match), he interacts with countless students in hands-on ways, often not seen by administrators. He's also known to have the best bowl of candy on campus - swing by his office to find out! Jan Saeed, MSCCR, Director of Spiritual LifeThe Spiritual Life Program at Westminster College serves as a catalyst for students to grow and nurture their spirituality; creating a desire for positive transformation in their personal lives and the world at large. With a goal of "walking the spiritual path with practical feet," students and faculty can work together to create opportunities for both spiritual transformation as well as a physical betterment of the world.
