Bioneers Keynote Address by Charles Bowden and Molly Molloy, Friday Nov. 5th 7:00pm in Vieve Gore Concert Hall.
Charles Bowden is a highly acclaimed journalist who has been reporting on Juarez Mexico for Fifteen years. He is the author of many books such as "Murder City: Ciudad Juarez and The Global Economy's New Killing Fields." Bowden will be joined by archivist Molly Molloy who posts daily news on U.S.-Mexico border issues. Molly is a Border & Latin American Specialist at New Mexico State University Library in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Bowden and Molloy will look at the role we play in the restoration of a damaged city.
In the spring, Richard Badenhausen is teaching an Honors class titled: Reading and Writing the City. Any student with a 3.5 or better can take the class.
