Teaching ResourcesThe common theme committee selects texts based partly on their ability to be discussed and explored in a wide variety of classes across many different disciplines. Students and faculty may make connections to the issues raised by the text through class discussion, research projects, service opportunities, and field study. Such activities will reinforce the connection students have made to the text earlier in the common read discussions as well as in other theme-related programming across campus during the year. Faculty interested in generating ideas about how to employ the theme in their classrooms should feel free to speak with members of the theme committee, talk to other faculty employing the text, consult the resource below, and see the common theme links page. Research Materials Associated with Three Cups of TeaFor students and faculty interested in learning more about Mortenson's work and mountains, the Westminster College library can help research related materials. |
