Chair of Westminster's Board of Trustees Ginger Giovale Announces Retirement

On March 31, 2006 Westminster College announced that Ginger Giovale, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees for the past 18 years and member of the board for 29 years, had decided to retire from the board effective in June 2006. Giovale, a Flagstaff, Arizona resident has had a long personal and philanthropic relationship with Westminster.

Largest Single Gift in College’s History Comes from John and Ginger Giovale

President Michael Bassis announced that the college had received the largest single gift in its history-$10 million to be paid over 5 years-from Ginger and John Giovale of Flagstaff, Arizona. The gift will go toward helping Westminster construct a new $30 million, 60,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Science Center and endow a faculty chair in science. (Click here to continue reading)
