Poster PresentationsPoster Presentations should be designed to fit on a board 46 inches wide and 40 inches high. Posters can be made as a single unit or in pieces. Posters will attach to the foam core board with poster tape, which will be provided. If your poster is laminated we will have to secure it to the foam core with stronger packaging tape, which will be provided. Posters must be prepared so that they can be read from at least four feet away. Presenters must be available to discuss their poster during their assigned session. The poster should include the title of the presentation, the name of the student, the research advisor, the department in which the research/creative work was done and the institution name. Simply stapling a typed paper to the foam core board is not acceptable. Visual displays work best, with written information bulleted. Oral PresentationsOral presentations will be 12 minutes in length, with 3 minutes for questions and transition to the next talk. Presentations should contain an introduction, an explanation of methods, and a conclusion or summary of findings, and should be aimed at a general audience. Visual aids should be used if at all possible. Slides, transparencies, or power-point presentations may be utilized in oral presentations if specified in advance.
