Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the Westminster Undergraduate Research Fair.

What if my final paper/poster is not complete?
We realize the Undergraduate Research Fair is being held two weeks before finals. If you can summarize your paper/poster in a concise way that communicates your research and you have a faculty sponsor, you should still apply.

What is an abstract?
An abstract is a concise summary (no more than 150 words) describing your project/paper/poster. You can review Professor Richard Badenhausen's web site on abstracts for more information.

What does it mean to have my research "considered for publication in Westminster College's first on-line Undergraduate Academic Journal?"
ASWC has been working with a committee of faculty and students to publish Myriad, Westminster's first on-line Undergraduate Academic Journal planned for publication at the end of this spring semester. By checking the line on the application form you are indicating that you would like to have your abstract considered for publication in this journal.

I am interested! What is my next step?
Check out the rest of this website and contact your faculty sponsor or call (801) 832-2300 for more information. You can download an application form or pick one up from the offices of each of the schools on campus. As part of the application process you need to submit an abstract (maximum 150 words) of your presentation/poster.
