Freshman Year

Fall Semester

• 1 musical theatre song (lyrical, not pop or rock style)

• 2 English or American art songs or folk songs

Spring Semester

• 1 English or American art song
• 2 18th century Italian songs or arias

Sophomore Year

• 1 20th or 21st century English or American art song

• 1 Mozart aria

• 1 Handel aria

Spring Semester

• 1 contemporary English or American art song or aria
• 2 19th century German Lieder

Junior Year

Fall Semester

• 1 19th Century German Lied

• 1 oratorio aria with recitative
• 1 opera aria with recitative

Spring Semester

• 1 German Lied
• 2 19th or 20th century French melodies

Senior Year

Fall Semester

• 2 French melodies

• 1 English/German or other language art song

Spring Semester

• Senior Recital (minimum requirements)
• 1 18th century Italian song or aria (can be Mozart or Handel)
• 3 German Lieder
• 3 French melodies
• 3 contemporary English or American art songs
• 1 opera aria
• 1 oratorio aria
• 1 musical theatre song
