Utah Business BriefsSpecialty Sports Venture, a wholly owned subsidiary of Denver-based Vail Resorts Inc. that includes four ski-rental stores in Utah that carry the Breeze name, has acquired the assets of Outdoor Outlet LLC. The Wisconsin company owns and operates O2GearShop.com, an online retailer of outdoor/snowsports goods and equipment. AmericanStyle magazine's June edition named Salt Lake City as one of the "Top 25 Arts Destinations" among the nation's midsize cities. Montage Deer Valley, a luxury hotel that opened last December with 154 deluxe guest rooms and another 66 suites and private residences, has been awarded silver certification in new construction by the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The GovMark Council presented its annual award for Outstanding State & Local Marketing Campaign to the Utah Broadband Project and Utah.Gov, the state's official website. The GovMark Council is a nonprofit forum focused on government information and technology. Westminster College has been selected by The Chronicle of Higher Education as one of the 2011 "Great Colleges to Work For." This is the third consecutive year Westminster has received the honor. The results are based on a survey of nearly 44,000 employees at 310 colleges and universities. Bodell Construction is the recipient of the 2010 Platinum Level AGC of Utah Achievement of Safety Excellence. The Platinum Safety award honors contractors with "Achievement of Safety Excellence" for safety ratings 25 percent below the national average.
