Westminster appoints new dean of business school

John Groesbeck has been appointed the new dean of the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business at Salt Lake City's Westminster College. Groesbeck will officially begin his role at Westminster in July.

He currently is dean of the College of Business at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, N.M. In this position, he managed both the internal restructuring of the college, as well as the development of innovative outreach and distance education efforts. Prior to his time at ENMU, Groesbeck served as the interim dean and associate dean for the College of Business and Technology at Southern Utah. He was also a founding editor for the online journal Mountain Plains Journal of Business and Economics, used to facilitate the Mountain Plains Management Conference.

Groesbeck has a doctorate in economics and a master's degree in economics and management from Utah State. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Boise State.
