It’s a happy reunion for a Westminster College student and her 25-thousand dollar wheelchair.

"My mom woke me up and said they may have found your wheelchair," said 18-year old Jessica Jackman.

Jackman has Stickler's disease and her custom wheelchair helps her get around campus. She stores the wheelchair at Westminster because it's too heavy to move back and forth from home.

Campus police said on October 23 someone stole the wheelchair. It was caught on surveillance cameras.

Jackman said she thought she'd never see the wheelchair again. Then Friday morning it turned up on street corner just off campus.

"I was just sick. You've got to be kidding me, who does that, but whoever did do it, I'm grateful they brought it back," said Jessica's mother Marilyn Jackman.

The wheelchair did have some minor damage but it's working just fine.

Salt Lake City Police are still looking for the person who's responsible for the theft.
