Children with autism and their families are invited to spend a free fun day at Westminster College on Saturday, May 23.
As part of Westminster's May Term class, "Autism: Awareness or Epidemic," students in the School of Education are hosting the family event that is open to the public.
Family Fun Day offers various activity stations, including puppet-making, relay races, making butterflies and finger painting. Special guest activity coordinators include adults with autism who will display their art and paint children's faces.
About 50 Westminster student, faculty, children and families are registered to attend. Most are from Layton and Salt Lake City.
The events begin at 2 p.m. at the Tanner Plaza. In case of inclement weather, it will be held on the first floor of Malouf Hall.
