Fox 13 News At Nine

[CC] 00:13:37 It's a whirlwind of Celtic, folk, jazz, and a little swing. They're learning the music of their grandparents' era at the Westminster Blue Sky Music Camp. These students will be strumming their banjos, guitars, mandolins and pulling the strings of their ffiddles all week long. Teachers say the kids come from all over the state with a variety of skill levels...

We have kids from classical that have done nothing but Vivaldi and Bach and to kids who have never learned a note in their lives. So we put them together in bands, and they figure it out for themselves partly and we have coaching sessions when they get coached from pros and it’s a lot of fun.

Kids will show off what they’ve learned at the end of the week during seven performances at Westminster Friday night.
