The second move in the Twilight Saga is already breaking box office records after just one full day in theatres.

A scary thing happened on the way to the box office on Friday, New moon made box office history … New moon, the second installment in the twilight series is the biggest ticket seller in Fandango history.

Fueled by so-called Twi-hards, Twi-mania is in full swing. There are plenty of Twi-moms, too. It really is a fascinating fan-base, with hardly any men in that line back there. And that’s because it’s the Twilight love story that’s the main draw… Some say Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight is the perfect love story. It oozes sex without actually having any sex… yet.

Christy Seifert: This is a book that makes, or a whole series of books about how hot self-denial is.

Whatever the draw, it’s a force to be reckoned with.
