Join the Committee for Recent Graduations
The Committee for Recent Graduates engages with the dynamic alumni network through educational, mentoring, and social events for both soon-to-be graduates and alumni. The committee hosts events, supports larger college events, and shares all the things alumni wish they knew with current students.
The committee is focused on easing the transition between student life and working/post-graduate life for current/recently graduated Griffins and creating connections between graduates of the last decade all around the world. As part of the committee, you get to engage with other alumni by attending networking events and joining tailored service and mentoring opportunities.

Take a Griffin to Lunch
Take a Griffin to Lunch matches alumni with students in their career field/major for a one-time meeting, usually over lunch. The program recruits alumni on an ongoing basis, however matching takes place once a year in February, giving pairs spring semester to plan a meeting date.
The program recruits alumni on an ongoing basis, however matching takes place once per year, during fall semester. The Alumni Office matches alumni volunteers and students based on academic and career interests. We will notify you of your match as soon as possible. We will also let you know if we are unable to match you with a student this semester.*Lunch is not a requirement for participation, only a recommendation because sitting across the table can be less intimidating for students, it’s safer for first-time one-on one meeting to be a public, and a lunch meeting sets a specific time parameter. We do ask that meetings be held in a public place.

Alumni Mentoring Program
The Alumni Mentoring Program (AMP) provides positive one-on-one mentoring relationships between undergraduates and alumni in areas that focus on: academic, career exploration, and networking advising and development. Participants are partnered for eight months, beginning in September and ending in April. Alumni are asked to meet with their student for four hours a month.
Individual Mentoring Opportunities Between Alumni and Students
Students and mentors meet (or connect) at least twice per month throughout the academic year.
Facilitated Saturday Sessions with all AMP students.
Saturday Sessions have four aspects.
- A check-in/update/brainstorming session on the various mentoring relationships
- An alumni speaker who discusses the “real world”, tough choices, successes and failures
- Question & Answer sessions
- Theme and activity
