Passion and Purpose

Since it first opened its doors in 1875, Westminster has been a place where independent, conscious, and curious minds thrive. We educate the full student, encouraging them to think differently and empowering them to change their communities and lives for the better. The Westminster experience takes advantage of our location at the crossroads of the modern mountain West, our devoted faculty and staff, and our students’ lifelong commitment to learning.

Access and Success

Access and Success programs provide a pathway for underrepresented and first-generation students to attend Westminster and find success in their college years and beyond. We help talented and high-achieving high school students enhance their academic skills and guide them in finding opportunities within higher education. Once students are enrolled, our learning cohorts and diversity programs focus on social and academic integration, providing scholarships, faculty mentors, tutoring, and civic-engagement opportunities that ensure student success on campus and prepare them for life after Westminster. Investing in these programs directly impacts students by eliminating barriers to higher education and creating an environment where all students can thrive.

Honors College

At Westminster, a strong focus on student-centered conversations lies at the core of the Honors experience, challenging students to engage in complex issues and practice defending positions that reflect their own passions and values. The innovative, interdisciplinary learning model encourages students to explore beyond their typical field of study, and every class is team-taught so students learn the power of creating connections across boundaries. When you invest in the Honors College, you are leveraging the power of community to transform Westminster.

Arts Expansion Project

Westminster College’s performing and visual arts program is poised to become one of the finest in our region through the construction of the new Florence J. Gillmor Building as part of our performing arts complex. We invite you to join this project to create enhanced classroom, rehearsal, and performing spaces for our gifted performing and visual art students. Your donation will impact art majors and minors, as well as many non-majors who add to their educational experience by participating in arts programs.

Scholarships

Westminster has a proud history of preparing students to lead purpose-driven and impactful lives. The skills our students master—critical thinking, communication, and problem solving—are the same skills required to address the challenges we face as a society. Scholarship support is critical to ensuring that access to a Westminster education is not limited by one’s socioeconomic status.
