About Dr. Peter Goldman

Peter Goldman is a professor of English at Westminster College and is an expert in William Shakespeare and English literature. As a young man, he worked as a carpenter, a fisherman, a taxi driver, a cannery worker, and for the U.S. Forest Service in Alaska. He attended Sonoma State University in Northern California as an undergraduate. Going on to graduate study at the University of California, Irvine, he wrote his dissertation on the role of iconoclasm in 17th c. Puritan conversion narratives. In 2000, he received a Ph.D. in English Literature, and after a one-year post-doc appointment at UC Irvine, he found a home at Westminster College in 2001. He has also published several journal articles and book chapters on Shakespeare.
