1. Pay Your Deposit

Pay your $250 deposit to secure your place. Once you pay your deposit, you can register for classes at a Griffin GearUp. Tuition deposits are due by May 1, the National Reply Date.

2. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Apply for financial aid online at The priority deadline is March 1. Contact the financial aid office at 801.832.2500 with any questions.

3. Register for Housing

Secure your spot in one of the residence halls early, as campus housing is in high demand. Housing applications are available beginning December 1, with a priority deadline of May 15. Our first- and second-year living experience is designed to provide students with the best possible college experience. All first- and second-year students are required to live on campus.

4. Attend Admitted Student Day

Get ready to start your college journey at Admitted Student Day. Get a feel for campus life, make new friends, and check out your new home. Explore your passions and build your community during this day focused on the incoming first-year class of Westminster College.

5. Register for Classes

Registration begins in April with Griffin GearUp, a series of events that allow admitted first-year students to experience campus and learn what they need to do before the first day of class. Griffin GearUp is a one or two-day, overnight experience that includes meeting with an academic advisor, registering for classes, understanding the financial aspect of your education at Westminster, exploring leadership development, and getting to know your peers. There are many dates to choose from, making it easier to schedule your visit when it works best for you.

6. Move-In Day

Fall 2019 move-in day is Friday, August 16, 2019 1:00–5:00 p.m.

7. Attend Student Orientation

First-year Student Orientation starts Saturday, August 17, 2019 and runs through Tuesday, August 20, 2019. During this mandatory program, you will have an excellent opportunity to meet other students, as well as many dedicated faculty and staff, and to get ready to thrive in our campus community.

8. Attend Classes

Other Ways to Prepare for Your First Semester

External Credit

For Advanced Placement (AP) exams, submit a request through the College Board for your scores to be sent to us. You’ll be able to talk about your exams during your registration appointment. Details for transfer equivalencies for AP examinations are available through the academic catalog.

International Baccalaureate students should submit a request through the IB portal to send your scores directly to us. Details for transfer equivalencies for IB Examinations are available through the academic catalog.

Students who took college classes while in high school must submit an official transcript from the college or university when their semester is completed. Credit noted on your high school transcript is not sufficient.

Deferring Your Admission Status

First-year students who have paid their enrollment deposit may apply for a deferral for up to two years.
