Great news for Westminster Alumni! We are to continue offering the Westminster Alumni Scholarship. All alumni who begin a graduate program during the Spring or Summer 2017 semesters will be eligible to receive a $1,000 per semester scholarship, valued up to $6,000 for your program*.

*Due to an unexpected availability of funds, the scholarship is open to graduates from Westminster's BS, BA and BFA programs who apply to begin one of the 10 eligible graduate program in the Spring 2017 or Summer 2017 semesters. The scholarship will be awarded in $1,000 disbursements for up to 6 consecutive semesters. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (4 for MBA Summer term) for up to 6 consecutive semesters to remain eligible. Scholarship cannot be combined with any other institutional grant, scholarship, or discount including tuition match and the accelerated PMBA (for BBA grads). Westminster will offer a limited number of merit/need-based scholarships based on the strength of a candidate's application for Graduate programs within the School of Education.

Qualifying graduate programs include

• Master of Arts in Teaching
• Master of Education
• Master of Arts in Community Leadership

Scholarships up to $2,000 will be awarded to incoming students each semester. Students interested in applying for this scholarship need to submit a one-page essay December 5, 2016 addressing how you will benefit from receiving a merit-based scholarship.

The scholarship will be divided and awarded in your first two semesters. Student must be enrolled half-time (4 credits) to be eligible to receive the award. If you are awarded this scholarship but do not enroll for the Spring or Summer 2017 semesters, the scholarship will be forfeited. Cannot be combined with any other institutional grant, scholarship or discount. Total award, including external funds, may not exceed full tuition. Westminster will offer a limited number of MBA scholarships to new incoming students who demonstrate strong leadership abilities or potential. The strength of a candidate's application will also be taken into consideration. Leadership scholarships up to $5,000 will be awarded to incoming students each semester.

Qualifying graduate programs include

Students interested in applying for this scholarship need to submit a one-page essay by December 15, 2016 specifically addressing the following:

1. Describe an example of a time when you demonstrated leadership, and how it made a difference in either your company or your community.
2. How would receiving the Westminster MBA Leadership Scholarship impact you?

The scholarship will be divided and awarded in your first two semesters. Student must be enrolled half-time (4 credits) to be eligible to receive the award. If you are awarded this scholarship but do not enroll in the Spring 2017 semester, the scholarship will be forfeited. Cannot be combined with any other institutional grant, scholarship or discount including the accelerated PMBA (for BBA grads). Total award, including external funds, may not exceed full tuition. Westminster is committed to making your education flexible and affordable. The Simmons Scholarship is now available to new students enrolling in one of Westminster's competency-based (online) programs.

The scholarship is available at varying levels to new students enrolling in the following programs.

Master of Strategic Communication (MSC)

Project-based Master of Business Administration (PMBA)

Scholarship Details

A limited number of $5,000 competency-based graduate scholarships (MSC/PMBA) will be awarded in two $2,500 disbursements over two consecutive semesters. Must begin the program in the Spring 2017 semester to qualify.

Application Process

To apply, please submit a one-page essay by December 15, 2016 specifically addressing how this competency-based program is a good fit for you and how you will benefit from being awarded the Simmons Scholarship. Please email all scholarship essays to admission@westminstercollege.edu
