Eligibility

Students, full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible to join the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center. Members may also elect to have one Sub-Member. Please see the criteria for a Sub-Member below.

  • A "Sub-Member" includes the following: Husband/Wife/Domestic Partner, Sister/Brother OR a Parent/Child (MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER). All Main Members (i.e., undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni) are allowed ONE Sub-Member which must fall within the "Sub-Member" definition as stated above.
  • Student*, faculty, staff or alumni* MUST be present upon initial registration of one’s spouse/partner.
  • All members of the HWAC must be 18 years of age or older. Westminster students under the age of 18 must have the Membership Agreement and Release Forms signed by a parent/guardian.

*Main Member must have an active membership to the Center.

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible to join the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center. Visit the Center during normal hours of operation to sign up!

* Full time undergraduate students will see a $60.00 charge per semester on their tuition bill.

  • Membership dues for part-time undergraduates and their sub-member may be paid through one of the following methods: (1) Payment in full upon registration, (2) Payment by the month, or (3) Automatic monthly credit card charge. Monthly fee is $13.50. Please see the HWAC Reception Desk for details.
  • If one is a student AND a staff or faculty member at Westminster College, employee rates will apply (see below)

  • Alumni must provide validation of alumni status to the HWAC Reception Desk upon registration. Validation may be obtained from the Office of Alumni Relations.

Guests

  • $5.00 per day
  • Sponsored by a student, faculty, staff, or alumni member
  • All guests are required to register at the HWAC Reception Desk and sign a Release Form.
  • Guests MUST be accompanied by a Member of the Center.
  • Guests MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Day Pass

All eligible members interested in joining the HWAC may redeem a Day Pass free of charge.

One Day Pass per individual is afforded. Day Passes are non-transferable.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued for medical or relocation purposes only. No refund will be issued for the current month of membership.
  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Director of Fitness, Wellness, and Recreation. Refunds will take 3 to 4 weeks to process.
  • Memberships are non-transferable.

Member Parking

Parking will be enforced between the hours of 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday.

How to get a parking pass

  1. Purchase a parking pass that will give you access to park on campus in either parking garage between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from the beginning of the Fall semester until the end of Summer semester.
  2. Free passes can be obtained to park at the Garfield School (1838 S. 1500 E.). It is a short 7 minute walk or even quicker jog down to campus and can be used as your warm-up. Please contact 801.832.2526 or parking@westminstercollege.edu.
  3. There are a few metered stalls in the Foster parking lot.
  4. If your schedule is flexible and you can adjust your workout time to come in before or after the parking enforcement it would mean you do not need a pass.
