Registering for Classes as a First-Year Student

The Start Center will help you register for classes during your first year and advice you on your interests and goals.

To set up your first advising appointment

  1. Watch each of the videos below and take note of any ideas, questions, or concerns you have so they can be addressed during your advising appointment.
  2. After watching each of the videos, complete the First Year Academic Advising Tutorial, which you must finish to schedule your first advising appointment. You will need the following to complete the tutorial.
    • Westminster ID number
    • The names of any AP or IB exams you have taken
    • A list of any concurrent/dual enrollment coursework (please include the name, number, and college/university of each course)
    • A list of the area(s) you are interested in studying
    • Familiarity with Westminster vocabulary
    • An understanding of how to earn a degree
    • An understanding of the Four-Year Guarantee
