  • About Carol Jeffers

I am an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, Westminster College. I hold a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Utah, a Master of Science degree in Anthropology from the University of Oregon, as well as undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Visual Arts. It is a pleasure to share the knowledge, skills and attitudes gained in over 20 years of clinical nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, Maternity and Newborn care, Medical/Surgical Nursing, Community Education, and Staff Development. I also coordinated a media campaign to broaden awareness and support for families and victims of domestic violence under a grant from the Centers for Disease Control in Lane County, Oregon. I currently teach undergraduate courses in Nutrition, Fundamentals of Professional Nursing, Health Assessment, and Senior Capstone Clinical.  I taught graduate-level courses in the Master's of Science in Nursing Education Program (Diversity in Nursing Education, Technology in Nursing Education, Evidence-Based Teaching, and Teaching Nursing in Healthcare Institutions).  Currently I enjoy acting as a preceptor for graduate students whose emphasis is in Nursing Education.
