  • About Seong-In Choi, Ph.D.

I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, with a minor in Social Psychology, from Ball State University. Before moving to Salt Lake City, I counseled students at Michigan State Universtiy Counseling Center as a doctoral intern and taught Psychology and Counseling Psychology courses at the University of Southern Mississippi. I have a strong interest in multicultural and diversity issues in counseling, cross-cultural and international comparison of psychology, and help-seeking attitudes among underserved populations. I am also interested in scale development, test and measurement, and research methodology.

Originated from Seoul, South Korea, I love living in Utah as its mountains remind me of my hometown. I love singing, reading, gardening, hiking, traveling, art crafting... and hearing my first baby niece's cooing over the phone oversea.
