Karin Palle, Director of The Center for Entrepreneurship

Karin Palle thrives on wearing many hats and unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit. Since high school, she created and supported a variety of businesses, including co-founding Rico Mexican Market & Catering, which started from a bag of beans at the Farmers' Market.

Karin's passion for providing resources to help small business owners grow and flourish led her to start Advanced Business Consulting, become a Business Advisor for the local and national Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programs, sit on the Board of the Vest Pocket Business Coalition, and lead the Women's Networking Group as Executive Director. Currently, in addition to her work with Westminster's Center for Entrepreneurship, she is the Growth and Strategic Operations Director for Prestman Auto and Image Studios 360.

Karin earned her undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of Utah, where she focused on human resource management and marketing. She passionately believes that building and nourishing relationships and having access to resources are the keys to personal and professional growth. She is excited to oversee this year's Opportunity Quest competition, and to organize and facilitate the Lectures in Entrepreneurship series. She also looks forward to creating new relationships with Westminster students, faculty, business leaders, and community supporters in her new role.

Since 2005, I have been a licensed massage therapist. I owned my own business for a number of years and it was anything but successful. Defeated, yet still passionate as a massage therapist I am working diligently to find out what qualities I need to obtain to have a successful business as a student entrepreneur. My goal is to share what I learn. In 2015, I enrolled in The online BBA course at Westminster. I found a local business that has allowed me to use their business as a pilot program to learn all facet's of their product based business from daily operations, events to accounting and marketing. The business has done pretty well since I joined the team. At Westminster's Opportunity Quest we took first place in the social category and second place in the general category. Then we went on to the Elite Eight at the University of Utah. I have made many great connections and am very excited to get to work with the Center of Entrepreneurship.
