Numerous organizations offer prestigious scholarships and fellowships, with both domestic and international opportunities. These fellowships consist of summer positions and enrichments during the time you are enrolled at Westminster, as well as post-graduation internships, training, and jobs. They are not ways to pay for your undergraduate tuition, however, some may pay for graduate tuition.

Leesa McDill ('16)
Japan Exchange and Teaching Program
I'm pictured in Hamamatsu but I'll be living in Fukuroi teaching first and second-year high school students English. Fukuroi is a small city in the southwestern prefecture of Shizuoka in Japan. I'm enjoying the ofuro baths, the delicious food, and the bike ride to school.
Cassidy Jones ('11)
Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship—Turkey, 2011–2012
Cassidy worked with university students and faculty at Gaziantep University in southeastern Turkey for the 2011–2012 academic year. She taught English speaking skills to first-year university students from Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Iran, and Azerbaijan and worked with university doctors and medical faculty on skills for speaking at international conferences.
The Fulbright mission to enhance intercultural understanding through education improved Cassidy's communication and collaboration skills and drew her to education in a profound way. Cassidy has worked for the National Park Service since 2013, and she is currently a park ranger at Timpanogos Cave National Monument in American Fork, Utah. She will soon begin a Masters of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism at the University of Utah specializing in natural resource management and youth education outreach.
She credits her Fulbright experience for honing her ability to view complex issues about natural, cultural, and historical resources from a variety of perspectives.
