Incoming first-year students who wish to apply to the Honors program should have a minimum 26 ACT (or SAT equivalent). While the average ACT score of recent entering Honors classes is around 30, it is much more important that students have a strong academic preparation in high school, an attraction to the distinctive learning approach in Honors, and a deep desire to take advantage of the many opportunities that the program offers.
While interviews are not required of applicants, we strongly encourage prospective students to visit campus, attend an Honors seminar, and meet with the director of Honors. Please contact Trevor Beal, Honors Recruiter, at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will set up your visit.

Transfer students into honors (lateral entry)
There are a limited number of spots in Honors available for current Westminster students and transfer students in the lateral entry program. Accepted students take four Honors seminars ("Welcome to Thinking III" and three others from a menu of seminar options) and earn an Honors Certficate. Deadlines are March 1 (for current Westminster students) and May 1 (for transfer students).
Applications consist of the following materials, emailed by the deadline to the Honors director at email@example.com
Transfer applicants must be accepted to Westminster College before being considered for Honors.
