Individual Academic Support -- There are staff members available for one-on-one consultation regarding individual academic skills. Including but not limited to: time management, reading strategies, study strategies, note taking techniques, testing techniques, and learning styles/personality as related to studying. Appointments are one hour and can be a one time meeting or multiple meetings.
Career Planning – Individual assessment and assistance with career exploration and decision-making is available through the Career Resource Center. Career planning workshops and courses are also offered throughout the year.
Counseling – Counseling services are available to all registered students through the Counseling Center. Depression, anxiety, relationship issues, alcohol and drug problems, and family dysfunction are some of the common reasons for seeking counseling services. Services are provided in a comfortable office in the lower level of Shaw. Counseling is confidential and provided at no charge. Appointments may be scheduled in person, by telephone, or email.
